Our Favorite Projects of 2023: A Year in Review

Every year, we are grateful to work with so many talented designers, landscape architects, and homeowners across the country to bring their outdoor living visions to life. With decades of expertise in the design and production of garden elements and outdoor furniture, our team takes great pride in the process of designing and producing exquisite pieces for gardens, estates, and parks nationwide.

We know that each project is unique and we welcome the opportunity to offer customized solutions as we work one-on-one with our clients. As this year comes to an end, we are pleased to present a look back at some of our favorite projects of 2023!

Armillary Sundial with Signs of the Zodiac

Richmond, VA

This special project features a large Armillary Sundial with Signs of the Zodiac in a residential courtyard in Richmond, Virginia. The sundial has a remarkable design, with the signs of the zodiac sculpted by Gifford Proctor along one of the sphere rings, and a unique set of six investigating turtles at its base. The sundial is an astounding 5’ diameter and weighs 340 pounds. To complete the project, we also worked with the homeowner to add two elegant Cast Stone Benches along the brick walkway.

La Brezza in a Charming Garden

Raleigh, NC

Our lovely La Brezza Statue pictured here is also known as "The Good Fairy.” This piece was installed in Raleigh, adding a touch of southern charm to this residential garden. The design of the La Brezza was originally created in 1916 by sculptor Josephine Kern to symbolize “a good fairy that shall be all grace and innocence and sunshine, that shall smile back into the sad hearts of the old world, that shall spur people on to their best, and in that way bring them good luck."

Hermann Park Benches at Ford's Pond

Our Hermann Park Benches were installed at Ford’s Pond Park, a 202-acre city park located in Sutherlin, Oregon. The city selected the Hermann Park Bench for their new bench donor program. They have been able to place 15 benches through the program to date, with more donations still available. The bench slats were produced from recycled plastic lumber and the iron armrests and legs were finished in black paint. The benches create the perfect opportunity for visitors to sit and enjoy nature!

Pineapple Finials on Pedestals with Custom Hook

Bluffton, SC

Our team was happy to work with the homeowners on this unique project, featuring two cast stone Pineapple Finials on a simple Square Pedestal that function as the anchors to a residential walkway. Pineapples are the universal symbol of welcome, so this motif makes a perfect statement at the home’s entrance. There are also two custom Fluer de lis iron hooks that were hand-finished to create a chain gate. Another addition to the property is a Spouting Double Fish Sculpture placed on a fluted cast stone Column with Acanthus Motif.
