This very plain sundial originally made in cast iron and brass was relatively small as the gnomon measured only 12" long. Kenneth Lynch last saw these in French railway stations in 1939 but they have been put out of use. Mr.Lynch worked with his draftsman to create a similar design to be completed in bronze. Our design has a larger scale to appeal to a greater audience.
