Take a Look Inside the Workshop at Kenneth Lynch & Sons
We are excited to share a glimpse of some of the latest projects taking shape at the Kenneth Lynch & Sons workshop. From the iconic Central Park Bench and custom fountain components to handcrafted sundials, chess tables, and other timeless garden elements, every piece is carefully crafted by the skilled artisans at our workshop in Oxford, Connecticut.
We are proud of our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship for each casting, carving, finishing detail, and final assembly of our products that makes Kenneth Lynch & Sons a trusted name among landscape architects, designers, municipalities, and homeowners nationwide.
Take a behind the scenes look at what's happening in the workshop this season!
La Brezza
Our beloved La Brezza, also known as "The Good Fairy,” is one of our most popular statues, often ordered for residential settings and gardens of all sizes. Made of natural lead and weighing about 300 pounds, we often have a few of these beloved statues being completed in the workshop at a time. This piece can be incorporated as a standalone statue or incorporated as a focal point of a fountain.
We always enjoy seeing where our La Brezza Fountains find their new homes across the country!

Classic Armillary Sundial
The Classic Armillary Sundial is our most popular design, handcrafted in bronze with a rich patina and offered in three sizes. The detailing includes finely detailed zodiac motifs, and the small and medium sundials have numeric characters, while the large sundial incorporates Roman numerals.
Each piece is customized to be functional for telling time based on the exact location of where it will be installed, and we offer the option of adding a custom plaque or a cast stone column for an elevated display.

1939 World’s Fair Bench
Our iconic 1939 World’s Fair Bench is always in high demand. Also known as the Central Park Bench, this is not only a favorite bench design for parks nationwide but also for many homeowners looking to personalize a Central Park Bench with a custom plaque in honor of a special milestone.
We are proud that our history of crafting this bench design goes back to the 1930’s and is authentic to the original design used during the creation of Central Park.

Balancing Boy
This playful Balancing Boy statue was a fun new request from a homeowner who tracked this figure down from our catalog of garden ornamentation. Made of natural lead, the Balancing Boy stands at 28" in height and can also be placed on our Snail with Lead Horns for an even more unique effect. We are excited to see the placement at his new home this summer!

Classic Concrete Chess Table
Our Classic Concrete Chess Tables are a popular piece for parks departments and municipalities throughout the country. These game tables are produced with a concrete and terrazzo top that is durable throughout the seasons in all climates.
These Chess Tables can be paired with different styles of benches or concrete stools, and custom colors are also available.
Cast Stone Fountain Bowl
Like many of our cast stone pieces, this fountain bowl required careful casting to produce the fine details along the outer edge. Once installed, this wall fountain will create a beautiful, soothing water effect.
Our cast stone wall shells are intended to be built into a newly constructed wall and then surrounded with stucco, tile, or a stone veneer. We offer three sizes to choose from, with this 60" wide bowl being our largest.

Historic Cast Stone Pieces from Italy
In addition to the collection of castings and patterns in our workshop, we also have hundreds of original Italian cast stone sculptures, figures, and planters that had been shipped straight from Italy by our founder, Mr. Kenneth Lynch, and continue to be part of our collection today.
Lynch traveled to Europe in the 1950’s and began collecting all types of garden ornaments inspired by Italian classicism. One of these trips was to Rome, where he was able to experience the city’s ancient, dramatic, and ornate fountains firsthand. It was then that he created hundreds of sketches, photographs, and field notes, which were compiled and published in “Garden Ornament: An Encyclopedia” which became the catalog that brought Kenneth Lynch & Sons nationwide recognition as the leader in garden ornamentation.
Now more than half a century later, we are proud to offer an extensive collection of cast stone statuary inspired by the timeless beauty of classical Italian sculpture and architecture in our Estate Elements Collection.
