A Guide to Classical Garden Elements That Are Always in Style
Gardens have been a source of beauty and inspiration all around the world since the beginning of time. For many garden lovers, these outdoor spaces symbolize a peaceful escape that leaves us with a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for nature’s beauty.
While gardens come in all shapes, sizes, and styles, they have always shared the common thread of connecting us to the natural world and providing a sense of hope in every season. Take a look at our guide to the classical elements that will stand the test of time for every garden design.
1. Fountains
Fountains can be traced back thousands of years to when they were used as a source of drinking water as well as decorative elements. Today, fountains are considered a soothing natural element that creates a sense of elegance and tranquility in gardens and outdoor spaces.
Our Estate Elements Collection of garden elements includes two main types of fountains: tiered fountains and wall fountains. Both are excellent additions to a garden depending on the size, shape, and design of the space. A tiered fountain makes an elegant focal point in a large symmetrical garden or spacious courtyard, while wall fountains are the perfect additions to smaller gardens or patios.

2. Sundials
Sundials were originally used thousands of years ago as a way to tell time before the invention of the clock. Today, sundials are typically incorporated into gardens as a design element rather than for their functionality. The various design and size options of the sundial makes it an excellent addition to a garden of any size or style. Sundials are often placed on a pedestal, adding dimension to the natural landscape and acting as a focal point when placed in a central location.
In our Estate Elements Collection, you will find both horizontal sundials and armillary sundials, composed of a set of interlocking metal rings to create a sphere. Our armillary sundials are available in three different sizes making them suitable for every space. Our sundial designs include beautiful detailing such as the Signs of the Zodiac, Father Time, or traditional mottos engraved on the base. Our sundials are beautiful - and functional!

3. Statuary
The art of making statues throughout history has focused on representing historic figures, celebrated leaders, and mythological creatures. Statuary is one of the best ways to bring life to a garden, adding an element of storytelling and artistic expression. The type and style of statuary will help set the tone of a garden depending on the statue’s unique pose, expression, and location among the natural landscape.
The statuary pieces in our Estate Elements Collection are available in human and animal form of every type imaginable. All figures are made of natural lead or cast stone, making them extremely durable and safe to withstand all seasons and weather conditions.

4. Urns & Planters
Urns and planters come in many design styles and sizes, making them versatile when it comes to accommodating all types of outdoor spaces and uses. From the most elaborate, ornamental designs to simpler styles, urns and planters offer a practical way to enhance our gardens by adding visual interest and dimension while creating a designated space for flower beds and plantings. Urns and planters can also be a great way to add symmetry, enhance other elements in the garden, and provide structure in stark winter gardens.
Our Estate Elements Collection offers many different urn and planter styles made from natural lead or cast stone, ensuring durability through every season.
