Lead statue of a girl holding a shawl over her head is a creation of sculptor Geraldine Lewis-Amendola by the request of Kenneth Lynch. Mr.Lynch was aware of this statue, an original design from Europe, however it was lost in the war of 1914. Working from photos Mr. Lynch had provided, Ms. Lewis-Amendola was able to recreate the deep clefts in the lines of the garment to the delicate buttons and ribbons on the back.
