Planter turned fountain
This piece was designed as a planter but the particular profile of the planter edge allows this to be used as a beautiful fountain. When considering the use of a planter or birdbath to be used as a fountain one must scrutinize the profile of the edge. There must be a clear dropping point for the water. If the edge is too rounded the water will just naturally follow that edge and run down the sides of the piece instead. While this is desirable in some cases, think of olive jars piped as fountains, those types of shapes will not create a lot of water sounds.
