One of the many variations of the 1939 World's Fair bench includes this single pedestal leg design. This bench requires below grade anchoring, it is not self standing. For added strength a below grade iron bracket is available, particularly useful for areas where pavers, safety surfacing or asphalt are the final finish. The most common placement of this style bench is next to a game table, the single support legs with no arm makes access to the table area very easy.
