This armless version of the standard 1939 World's Fair bench can be used in replacement of a standard hoop arm. This is useful in the center of an 8' bench where an uninterrupted seating area is desired. It has also been used at the end of a bench to allow a wheel chair user to move from the wheelchair onto the bench. Another common use is to have it accompany our chess tables, allowing a person to slide into place between the bench and table.
